FotoFest presents FotoFence 2012.  Opening Reception Sunday, May 20th,  2-4pm.  On view through May 26th. FotoFest’s Literacy Through Photography (LTP) school-based education program invites the public to join in celebrating the creativity and academic success of Houston area students at the annual year-end student exhibition.

FotoFest’s FotoFence student exhibition highlights student work created using the Literacy Through Photography (LTP) program. Houston area schools from 7 districts, including private and charter schools, will present photographs, writing, poster collages, digital video projections and 3-dimensional sculptures.

These pieces represent personal, creative exploration, inspired by the themes self, family, community and dreams. We hope you will join us to celebrate LTP student success!

The FotoFence 2012 public reception features students readings and performances . Teachers and school administrators will demonstrate how they introduce important new skills in the classroom using FotoFest’s Literacy Through Photography program. Teachers will talk about their own growth and experiences with professional development programs offered by FotoFest, including classroom collaborations with professional artists.
