The Little Mermaid Ballet

Festival Ballet and The Academy of Ballet & Dance Arts presents The Little Mermaid Ballet, June 16, 4:00 p.m. at Lake Jackson Intermediate Forum Theater.

The Little Mermaid Ballet is based on the beloved Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale, the story of a young mermaid willing to give up her life and home in the sea to become a human girl and win the love of a human prince.

“I based my ballet on the original Hans Christian Andersen tale” states Artistic Director Deborah Rayburn “, with adaptations that make it possible as a children’s ballet. There are comedic elements and it’s entertaining for the entire family.”
